From adding brightness enhancement films to light recycling polarizers we can increase the performance of an OEM backlight without adding any power or heat to the assembly. When coupled with an AR film many displays are clearly viewable under full direct sunlight. If more light is needed we can add bulbs to many OEM backlights or even design a custom LED or Fluorescent backlight solution.

Vikuiti™ Brightness Enhancement Films are transparent optical films that increase LCD brightness through improved management of the existing light. Vikuiti™ BEFII films and Vikuiti™ BEFIII films focus the light toward the user. In this way, the on-axis brightness of the display can be increased up to 114% over displays without film, which means brighter viewing and improved sunlight readability. By combining Vikuiti™ BEF film with Vikuiti™ DBEF film, display brightness can be increased by up to 150% over displays without film while maintaining a broad viewing angle.
